Super Street Fighter 4:Arcade Edition Balence Patch Being Worked On

-See guys Capcom doesn't ALWAYS want your money, just your opinions

With Arcade Edition releasing last June for PS3, 360, and finally PC players have had some complaints with changes to the new character as well as rebalences for old characters. At EVO 2011 Ono announced that they are working on a patch for the game and wants to get your opinions at his twitter feed and at Capcom Unity. There are no specific changes announced yet, but you can expect to see this patch go live this fall or winter.

I am very excited to hear this because as much as I am enjoying Arcade Edition, there are some changes I would like to see be made to the new characters so it's not gonna be all Yuns forever. Also I feel all the 4 new characters are a bit over powered and could be brought down a bit. What do you think they should change in this patch? Also what do you want to stay the same? Black Ops DLC #3 Annihilation Impresstions

-For once I actually like these new MP maps

Getting the basic information out of the way, as always this map pack cost $15, adds 4 new multiplayer maps and a new zombie experience called Shangri-la and is available for 360, PS3, and PC. Also on a side note this weekend there is a double XP event going on so keep on leveling up.

The MP maps are pretty interesting compared to the last 2 map-packs (which I also have). One that really stands out to me is Hazzard which is a large and vast golf course. It has a good mix of close and long distance combat. The other maps are a drive-in movie theater, missile silo, and hanger 18. So If you are looking for some new maps to spice up black ops this DLC really delivers.

Now to one of my favorite parts of black ops is the zombie mode and with ever other DLC pack for the game this includes a whole new level to play. Shangi-la is a very interesting take on the zombie mode formula. After the amazing Call Of the Dead level Shangri-la had some big shoes to fill and does. Something you will notice imminently is this level is a bright jungle setting which is nice since all the other levels take place at night or a dark building. No special characters are in this level but the normal crew returns with lots of funny but forgettable dialogue. Finally a cool little thing this level adds is how you turn on the power and what it does. The power is all related to the water and pipes the player uses to get around from the underground to the jungle level.

So if you have black ops, $15, and a lot of free time (which I don't have) you should have already picked this up so get on it. If you are wanting to get black ops and not sure what DLC to get 1st if your not getting all 3 so far, I would recommend picking this up 1st and at the moment is my favorite mappack.

Want Something To Do This Weekend?

As a big fighting game fan myself I will be spending as much time as possible watching all the matches I can. If you are a fan of Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition, Marvel vs Capcom 3, and Mortal Kombat you will see the greatest players in the world really going at it. You can even watch EVO on PS Home this year for the 1st time if you cant stream on a computer so now there are more options for watching more then ever. Hopefully one year I will attend one of these years, but will need to keep up with the practice.

-Pfft 3DS you wanted $250 from us well I say no to that

...And apparently most people agreed with that. After a couple months of extremely poor sales for the 3DS it was inevitable that Nintendo would have to drop the price as well as the looming release of Sony's PS Vita. Now starting 08/12/2011 America will have the price of the 3DS drop to $170. I say good job Nintendo I went from wanted to wait for the new model (i.e. 3DS light) to now actually thinking of getting this after the price change. Now if you were an early adopter to the 3DS CONGRATULATIONS! you are now a 3DS ambassador. This entitles you to 10 NES virtual console games and 10 GBA games to be released later. To be an ambassador you need to connect to the 3DS e-shop by 08/11/2011.

-$15 for a map pack.......eh I think it's worth it

Today, the PS3 finally gets the newest map pack for Black Ops exactly a month after its exclusive launch for 360 which is nothing new to gamers. All I have to say so far is I bought it and now have it downloading so it's a bit to soon to say. Still I can't wait to see the new zombie map and most players who like Black Ops and bought the other DLC pack will buy this regardless.

Gonna Take Another Break

I have one more trip going on for summer and am not to excited. I leave the 20th and get back on the 27, so expect the schedule to finally resume as normal. Sorry for all the changes and lack of news, my summer is a bit hectic compared to what I thought it would be like. As a quick update I am still working on Demon's Souls and recently got L.A. Noire Finally and just got to the 2nd desk, so I still have a ways to go. Finally, with comic-con this weekend if you are going have fun and I wish I could go this year.

Quick Review For Infamous 2

-Better late then never

Since I was quite late to playing Infamous 2 and therefore it made writing a review come up late. With this I wanted to try a new form of quick reviews not always for retail games, mainly for downloadable games. I don't want you to think I am under minding this great game. Now time to get into a review, it took long enough.

First off if you liked Infamous or were like me and were super addicted to collecting blast shards you will LOVE Infamous 2 and should buy it, if you have not already. After my character design changes you still play as a shaved headed Cole (not Dylan) who has a normal non v-neck shirt. I personally liked the new design and would like to have it available in any way shape or form. No other changes to any character designs were made. The most change you might see is someone you know from Infamous 1 has some new threads now in Infamous2.

Sucker Punch has put a new twist on the gameplay by making melee a big factor, but for those worried that shooting was under minded don't its about 20% melee and 80% shooting. This time you use a tuning fork called the amp for melee and it feels much better then the 1st game. On the other side of things, shooting has also changed, not by controls but with powers and how many choices each power has. Also there are new ways to explore the world you are in such as electric poles you can shoot your self up in, but I will save the rest to keep the surprise, there is one towards the end of the game which makes traveling 100% different.

-Making choices still is very black and white

Now lets talk about the setting, New Marais is a totally new and amazing city compared to Empire City. It is much more diverse and helps keeps missions fresh. Talking about UGC I haven't had to much experience making levels mainly playing them. Sadly nothing has really impressed me unlike LBP. So hopefully in the future people will make some really cool levels. The main reason it's so hard is due to the difficulties of making a level and lack of tutorial.

Lastly, the story in my opinion is very good and both endings make me very curious for the future of the series, but interesting none the less. None of the new characters really annoyed me and at moments made me feel something. The big connection is with Zeke and Cole is really amazing and makes you feel like you are his best friend.

I would recommend anyone who is into open world games pick this up or if you are a fan of comic books or super heroes. The game is not perfect with UGC and camera problems, but suckerpunch really makes a fun and enjoyable sequel, which is all I ever wanted.

Infamous 2 gets a 9/10

Black Ops Annihilation Map Pack Dated For PS3 and PC

-Who is ready for more Zombies?

Exactly a month after its release on 360 PS3 and PC gamers finally get their hands on the newest batch of DLC which like past map packs will contain 4MP maps+1 zombie map and will cost $15. The 4 new multiplayer maps are Silo, Hangar 18, Drive-In and Hazard while the new zombie map is Shangri-La which places you in a jungle environment. I was never a big COD fan, but after I got Black ops and first strike for free I have gotten a bit hooked on the game and even bought the 2nd DLC mainly for Call of the Dead. So I will probably pick this up and can't wait to see the new zombie map and try some cool maps for multiplayer. got any feeling on this map pack? Sound off in the comments.

It All Ends Here (and TW4N updates continue)

-A EPIC ending to an Epic series

Sorry, I meant to post this 2 days ago. For the past 2 days I was at a movie marathon for all 8 Harry Potter films. On the 1st day we saw 1-4 and the 2nd day let us see the rest of them 5-8. I had a great time with every movie and really enjoined watching every movie one after another. So if you ever get the chance to watch it this way I highly recommend.

Now for the Final and newest movie. Part 2 is a really great film and compliments the series extremely well. The only complaint with the movie I had was how quickly the deaths of main characters you have known for years is passed by. Still this is necessary for a movie that has to cover so much content. Also the 3D in the movie is good and even great in some parts, but doesn't make or break these movies. Now after 8 movies an end of an era is over and part 2 really caps everything off very well.

With that out of the way normal blog schedule will return today.

Catherine Demo Impressions And Issues

-I couldn't agree with you more Catherine

With Atlus releasing the English demo of Catherine for XBL and PSN, now people get their chance to play the game and listen to the awesome voice actors chosen for this story heavy adventure game. Now when you download the demo you are greeted by a very creepy, yet stylized menu for the game. Now the demo is a bit sparse on ways to play, but the 30-45 minute demo you get (depending on if you are familiar with the gameplay or not). You get to play the 1st and 2nd levels in the puzzle part of the game and showing off how Vincent will use in phone in the game by texting his girlfriend Katherine. If you have any interest in the game at all defiantly check out the demo and if you are worried for spoilers, don't if you have seen a trailer you don't learn anything new story wise. Finally, if you were worried about the voice actors don't Atlus really picked some great talent and can't wait to hear more in the full version.

Now I have a couple of complaints I saw in the demo as well as the game, depending on weather or not Atlus fixes them. The 1st issue is a very small one, the game should have a screen size option and the 2nd issue is about the voice volume in cut scenes. To elaborate in the anime cut scenes the volume for voices is normal, but in the in game cinematics the music is fine, but voices seem very quiet (I don't own a surround sound system, but uesed my surround sound headphones and had the same issue). I have contacted Atlus looking for a answer to my issue and will keep you updated. So to fix these problems Catherine's options menu need more than vibrate and invert controls on the left and right stick.

Catherine Demo Coming Tomorrow

If you have been interested in the new game Catherine from the people who brought you Persona, you can try out the demo tomorrow on PSN and XBL. The demo will be the same as the Japanese demo except with English voice's this time instead of Japanese and there will be no option between the two. Atlus also confirmed that the game when it comes out 7/26 will not include both languages as well. Hopefully this demo will make many people wanna pre-order Catherine and let more games like this come out, that help the gaming industry break out of the norm every now and then.

Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Panel At This Years Comic-Con

-If you are looking for MVC3 new you must have felt like Hulk until now

Finally after months of silence (besides those shadow battles) Capcom has not said anything about plans for the game, not even any more costumes. Well lets hope we hear something at this year's panel for MVC3 at Comic-Con. Now this doesn't confirm that anything will be announced, but doesn't this seem like a good time to say something or at least tease anything. The official word from the schedule is this:

11:00-12:00 Marvel vs. Capcom— Fighting fans! Come to this panel to hear the fantastic news about this legendary fighting game franchise straight from producer Ryota Niitsuma. Get an exclusive behind-the-scenes peek as well as a chance to come onstage to showcase your fighting skills against each other for fantastic prizes. Followed by a Q&A session. Room 25ABC

Personally I can't wait to see something announced for this game. To make fans happy Capcom should announce new characters and costume packs. If they want to make fans angry They would announce a whole new game such as "Super Marvel Vs Capcom 3" with new characters and costumes. So lets all hope for the best and I will keep you updated when I know what happens.

Bioshock Infinite Impressions

-If this is just a tease of what "tears" will be like I can't wait to see more

Back in 2010 (I know a long time) when this game was announced I was a bit worried about how to make REAL sequel to Bioshock. *I have not played Bioshock 2* After playing the 1st Bioshock I had to wait a year because of my problem of having a PS3, oh boy was that worth the wait. So taking my concern and hope knowing the developers of the 1st game are working on this, I decided to wait until some actual gameplay came out before I would really judge the game.


Finally, last September Irrational Games released a 10 minute video showing what the game will look like. You play an actual character this time named Booker Dewitt and he is an ex Pinkerton Agent. He is told to go Columbia the city in the sky where the game takes place and rescue a girl named Elizabeth as an offer he can't refuse. In this video you are introduced to how broken Columbia has become since Booker got there, which I enjoy since with Rapture you see an already broken which is a much different feeling.

Now the game's graphics and gameplay wise didn't really look that different, it mainly looked like a cleaner looking Bioshock and I really didn't mind that cause that style really works for me. Now with last nights unveiling of the closed door demo from E3 had gotten lots of praise from the gaming press which had me very curious to see more. Also GTTV had a nice 15 minute long interview which you can watch here.

Now after a couple of months not much has changed besides Booker's voice is a different person which makes him sound younger which I really like. Now this demo really shows an actual slice of the game from the end of the 3rd level. This demo really shows off how well the game shows how Booker and Elizabeth interact in the game. There is always banter going on either to yourself or Elizabeth much like Uncharted. Just from that 15 minute demo I really felt a bond to Elizabeth and got sucked into the game without even had played it. Also I was worried that the Song Bird would be very much like a Big Daddy. So on a very simple basis you can call Song Bird Elizabeth's big daddy, but if you take a closer look there is a much deeper and complicated relationship between the two. P.S. there is only 1 songbird that we have seen so far.

Hopefully we will get to see more soon, but who knows when that will be. I will keep you up to date on any news for Bioshock Infinite so stay tuned here for more news.

If you are like me and am sick of hearing about the awesome demo that gave Bioshock Infinite 39 game of show awards. The only reason people were surprised is because it won these awards for the awesome 15 minute demo, which was closed doors and hadn't been shown anywhere else besides clips. Finally tonight, Thursday July 7th at 1 AM eastern Spike TV and GTTV will show a half hour special and interviews, check out a 2 minute promo for it here. I will write up my opinions on the show sometime this weekend.

Now if you are a fan of text and not just video I highly recommend checking out Electronic Gaming Monthlies newest issue of EGMi and the cover story is all about Bioshock Infinite. It is a very well written piece (which is not new for EGM) and after tonight I feel that with all of this information the wait for the final product will be even harder on me and everyone else. OH BOY! Pick Up Demon's Souls For $15 NEW

-Looking to Rage Quit? Got $15? well this game is for you

For this week only you can pick up Demon's Souls new at target for only $15. I was always interested in checking this title, but somehow didn't get around to picking it up, now I finally found it at a great price and new. I know this is a super hardcore game and hopefully I will enjoy this enough to want to pick it up Dark Souls. So when I check this out later today I will let you all know what I think of it.

On a side note I also picked up a $10 PSN card to buy the three for all pack for Need For Speed Hot Pursuit which is normally $21 but dor this week it is priced at $11, (what a deal!) now my hot pursuit DLC collection is complete. Finally I picked up the straddegy guide for Marvel Vs Capcom 3, yes I know I'm late to buying it, but damn that is a huge book with tons of content from what I have read so far.

Uncharted 3 Beta Impression-So Far

Oh Naughty Dog you have done It again, ever since Crash Bandicoot you have had my wallet. Now time to get down to business. I was fortunate enough to get into the Uncharted 3 beta early. Now on the 1st day I, much like many others were either not able to get connected, slowdown, bad frame rate, connection, and system crashing. Thankfully ND was quick to fix these issues with update 1.01 the next morning and as of today we got update update 1.02.

Starting on Wednesday the beta really started and the beta has ran as smooth as butter ever since. This Beta is jam packed with content, there are 5 game modes at a time changing each week, tons of guns (some are NEW), new variations of co-op, Uncharted TV, emblem design, facebook integration, and 3 maps (Airfield, Yeman, and Chateau). I will do my best to give you my opinions on my favorite features this adds and impressions on gameplay.

Right off the bat you will notice Uncharted TV in the bottom right corner. This is a mini theater with Uncharted 3 trailers, demos, behind the scenes, and top player kills. I use this so much when waiting for a match to start just keeping me busy. Next the emblem is a cool idea but needs more features like mod nation racer. there is good potential there, but needs improvement. Next I really enjoyed the new guns that ND added as well as the changes and upgrades to past guns such as the FAL becoming the GMAL is my favorite now.

Finally, here is the big one gameplay and new modes. Uncharted 3 fell 150% different from Uncharted 2 to me. Everything pretty much plays the same besides small changes like snipers are in scope automatically when you aim and aiming while climbing has a new dynamic camera to help aiming (and it does). Another new system ND added was the buddy system, at the beginning of a match you are randomly assigned a buddy who you can spawn from and pick up treasures for you. The main point of your buddy is the high five and fist bump medal if you two get a kill go to the corpse and hold down to get some knucks or slaps.

The beta has really sucked me into U3 multiplayer much like U2 did. Now with the new changes in modes that make things really different from all other games which is a rare and nice sight to see. To wrap this up, if you have a PS3 and a PSN account you can play this today for FREE so get on it if you haven't. Torchwood4sp Recommends: DLC Costumes!!

-Kung-Fu is even more kickin' with these new costumes

Sorry for another delay on the updates the 4th of July long weekend kept me busier then I thought. Now With this weeks PS store update I decided to buy two add-on packs for some games I enjoy quite a bit. Today the arcade challengers pack came out for Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition which includes 2 costumes for all 4 new characters. The Yun and Yang costumes match including a chef costume or a hip hop style outfit that look really cool. Evil Ryu and Oni have a nice mix and even include a battle damaged Oni. The pack cost $3.99 which is a normal costume pack for Street Fighter, but has more costumes for the same price. So much like arcade edition if you are a fan of Street Fighter you will enjoy picking this pack up.

Now onto a game series that has sucked up a lot of my money since it's release in 2008, Little Big Planet. Something about dressing up that little sack fella is just a hook I can't resist. Since I was a big fan of Infamous 2 I was very excited to here that there would be a Infamous 2 Mini-Pack released including Good Cole and Evil Cole, yes they are 2 totally different costumes this time. As well as a Some cool stickers from Infamous 2 to put in your levels and pod. This pack is priced at $2.99 and if you have LBP2 and like Infamous 2 this is a no brainier PICK IT UP!
